Passage 5

Passage 5 is the new entry in a series that has accompanied many of our players for over twenty years. The principle has always been the same – and that's exactly the point: place your tiles so that either color or symbol matches the neighbors. Complete rows and columns – the passages – disappear from the board.

Sounds simple. It is. And that's what makes it so good: a puzzle you understand in thirty seconds and that won't let go of you three hours later. Plan ahead and you'll clear several passages at once – play by feel and you'll have to get creative.

Four Game Modes

Clear – Play away the marked tiles. Over 400 levels.
Continue – Keep placing endlessly, as long as the board allows.
Classic – 72 tiles, each only once. Classic high-score chasing.
Construct (new) – The counterpart to Clear: fill the marked fields instead of clearing them.

Three Campaigns

Travel around the world in 80 days, discover the animals of the world, or wander through art history from Botticelli to Munch. Each campaign leads through ten stations with their own backgrounds and tile sets – and every station you complete unlocks its background for free play.

For the First Time Two Players

Coop – Two players on one screen, two cursors, one shared score.
Duel – Split board, each player gets their own half. Who clears first? Across several levels, best-of, as Last Man Playing or on points – with 150 dedicated duel levels.
Against the computer – Playing alone? Take on a computer opponent in four strengths, from Easy to Ultra.
Online with friends – Coop and Duel over the internet, too, with Steam Remote Play Together.
Devices are assigned FIFA-style: whoever confirms on their device is in. Keyboard, mouse, multiple gamepads – all in parallel.

Special Tiles and Streaks

Bomb, row and column bomb, joker and color tiles with silver sides keep the board moving.
Streak system: how many passages can you complete in a row without missing a playable tile?
Four difficulty levels – new addition: Hardcore, for anyone who finds Hard too easy.
Optional move timer on the higher levels – skip it if you don't want the pressure.

Your Game, Your Look

15 tile sets and dozens of backgrounds, freely combinable – or shuffled at random with every level.
Your own backgrounds and tile sets: just drop images into the game folder.
Steam Workshop – Share your own backgrounds and tile sets with others and subscribe to community creations.
Music your way: several built-in channels from pop and relax to classical – or simply pick a folder of your own.
Spoken tutorial in 12 languages – no long reading required.

High Scores and Achievements

55 Steam achievements and Steam leaderboards – new to the series.
Online leaderboards in addition to local high scores, separate tabs per mode and difficulty.
Monthly high score events for each game mode with their own leaderboard – for Halloween, Christmas and more.
Multiple save slots with individual player names, switchable any time.
Steam Cloud: save games and campaign progress on every PC.
Full control via mouse, keyboard, or gamepad.
